By using ShopIt (“service”), you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service. You must be at least 16 years old to use ShopIt.
Description of service
ShopIt is an AI-powered application that provides grocery price comparison and meal planning services. The app collects and displays pricing information from various New Zealand retailers to help users make informed shopping decisions. ShopIt is currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid features in the future.
User accounts
You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.
Data accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate pricing information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all prices displayed. Prices are sourced from publicly available supermarket data, may vary by location and time, and are subject to change without notice. Always check prices at the point of purchase.
AI-generated content
Meal plans, product suggestions, and other responses are generated by AI and may contain errors. Always check for allergens and dietary suitability yourself. Do not rely on ShopIt for medical dietary requirements including allergy management. ShopIt is not a substitute for professional dietary or nutritional advice.
Prohibited uses
You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, interfere with or disrupt the service, or scrape, copy, or redistribute product data obtained through the service.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
Limitation of liability
In no event shall ShopIt be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the service. This includes, without limitation, any reliance on prices, product information, or AI-generated suggestions provided by the service.

We reserve the right to modify or replace these terms at any time. Continued use of ShopIt after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
